Eligibility Requirements
Currently, applications are open for the following groups:
– Seniors aged 65 and older
– Children under 18
– Adults with a valid Disability Tax Credit certificate
To qualify, you must also meet these conditions:
– No access to other dental insurance
– Have filed your taxes for the previous year
– Belong to a family with a gross annual income of less than $90,000
– Be a Canadian resident for tax purposes
Covered Services
The CDCP covers a range of diagnostic, preventive, and restorative dental services provided by oral health professionals. This includes examinations, X-rays, cleanings (scaling), fillings, root canals, dentures, and more. Some services and treatment frequencies may require prior authorization before they can be provided.
Coverage Amount
The CDCP covers a percentage of the allowable treatment costs based on your family’s net income. If your family’s income is below $70,000, the CDCP covers 100% of the stated fees. For incomes between $70,000 and $79,999, it covers 60%, and for incomes between $80,000 and $89,999, it covers 40%. Any remaining balance beyond what the CDCP covers is your responsibility to pay directly to your provider.
Using Your CDCP Coverage
Once you’re approved for the CDCP, just provide us with your member information at your appointment. If you’re covered by the plan, we will bill the CDCP directly, and you’ll only need to pay any remaining balance after their coverage. It’s that simple!
